Cut these 3" x 3" slips apart & draw a circle on the blank side of the coded #1 slip. A plus sign on the coded #2 slip. A triangle on the coded #3 slip. A square on the coded # 4 slip and a star on the coded #5 slip. When you perform, show the five symbols. Turn your back. Have a spectator select any symbol. Instruct the spectator to fold the slip in half with the symbol hidden from view. Have them fold theslip in half again. Hand the spectator a paper clip to secure the slip closed. Ask the spectator to put his folded, freely selected symbol slip into the drawer and to secure the box with the longer rubber band. Have him tear up the remaining slips and to place the pieces in your pocket while you're still facing away. When you peek the slip in the drawer, the number in the corner of the folded slip will always tell you the selected design. If the slip is quarter folded and placed in the box so that the numerals in the border are not visible, turn the box 180 degrees and repeat the move. So no matter how the spectator folds and places the slip in the drawer, you don't have to open the drawer more than an inch to see the number which tells you the contents of the folded slip.

One of the finest prediction devices ever conceived!
