TO most laypeople, the ultimate display of card cheating ability would be to take a deck that had been thoroughly shuffled by someone else and immediately deal yourself a perfect hand. (In reality, this is neither necessary nor doable for even the best card cheats. But gambling routines are not about reality; they're about fantasy wish fulfillment.)

One goal of gambling routines is to give the impression in various indirect ways that you could do exacdy that any time you wanted. It doesn't hurt, however, to occasionally provide more direct proof. Two gambling routines in which you appear to achieve this "gambler's dream" are Mexican Poker from Darwin Ortiz at the Card Table and Mr. Lucky from Cardshark, However, no other routine that I know of comes closer to the ideal than the one that follows.
