This technique is a variation of the Fl Glimpse.

Perform Steps 1 and 2 of the Fl Glimpse. Your right hand comes over the elongated pack and presses down on the ends, as when executing the usual one-hand spring flourish of interlaced cards.

During this action, the jogged selection can be easily glimpsed through the arch of your right hand. (Fig. 5) After the card is noted, the arched pack is immediately sprung together and handed to the spectator for a subsequent shuffle.

Informed cardmen will recognize this. It is a variation of the bottom-card glimpse from Expert Card Technique, except with the elongated pack the glimpse is easier and is covered by a definite, logical excuse for handling the cards in such a manner.
