George White followed, also in breezy style. A young lady called to assist had rather a rough time magically. She appeared to suffer the embarrassment of losing an article of apparel, help with a day's washing, and finally have the guillotine applied to her wrist . Apart from that, a good time was had by all !

Guy Marsh, dressed in dinner jacket, came next. Poor fellow, he had the wrong props wheeled on for him by the stage management. Hard luck on GUY but it got a laugh. Card manipulation, Fanning, handkerchiefs, canes and a burnt and restored paper effect, provided a slick silent act. A nice twist on the milk trick I thought, when he really did pour milk into a paper cone only there happened to be a tumbler inside the cone. Then he found his voice and told of the adventure of Joe, the Convict. I always think it a pity when a rilent act does not remain silent until the end but who am I to judge?

Jack Delvin, in full evening dress, concluded the show, maintaining the dominant note of the evening—humour. Amongst other good effects I liked his clever blending into one trick of cards to pocket, diminishing cards and giant cards. He finished with a novel production effect woven into the story of how OUFFLE DUST is made. (Editor, 'Don't you know how to spell OOFFLE?')

"So I don't, you alter it if you like. I don't see that it matters either way as long as we've got the stuff".

We had with us as a guest Dr. Abelson, who was persuaded by MAX to say a few words before closing the meeting . Dr. Abelson told of his experiences as a Psychiatrist where at times phenomena were encountered which were difficult to attribute to normal causes . He gave praise to our entertainers in stating that some of the happenings he had witnessed seemed to savour of a supernatural power.
